Personal Protective Equipment

OHS assists departments in conducting hazard assessments, selecting Personal Protective Equipment(PPE) and training employees. The purpose of the assessment is to identify physical, chemical, and biological hazards and select appropriate PPE.

OHS has developed general guidelines for non-laboratory units to conduct and certify PPE hazard assesments and training. Guidelines and certification forms are available from the following:
